Community of Owners News.  Voting has taken place for a Board to assist the President. Those elected to the Board are: Terry Chapman, David Dennis, Colin Gassner, Chris Gatenby, Martin Heppell, Roger Jay, Peter Klein, Sandra Millar, Karl-Heinz Schlömer, Hannalore Schmitz, Jack Taylor and Jane Wilmot. The Country Club Quiz nights will be on the first and 3rd Tuesdays of each month until the end of the year.

Segura water reserves stand at 19.5%, (26.08.08), no change  in the last week (TVE text). We must still save as much water as we possibly can, but the water is holding up much better this year than last!  The level for the whole of Spain is still 47.0%.

The opening of the AP7 reduces the time from San Javier Airport to less than 45mins and reduces the time from Almeria Airport to about 1hr 20mins. Flights into Almeria Airport are much cheaper than others and could be considered in future plans. I have updated the instructions from San Javier Airport (22.06.08)

The new RM3, the Mazarron - Totana motorway is now open, and so is the RM2 from Alhama to the A30. This gives a viable non-toll alternative to east Cartagena and San Javier. Now that the RM23 is also open, it takes about 10mins longer than using the AP7 and paying the toll. I have updated the travel directions page accordingly.
