There was an EGM of the CoO was held on Friday, June 4th at Mariano's at 1600. All the proposals were carried by very large majorities. More information about the CoO can be found on the website at www.mcccoo.org

There is information about the activities of the Social Club at www.mccsocialclub.com The Social Club runs a bingo night every Monday in the Restaurant.

Country Club Quiz nights will be on the first and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, with the Social Club now filling in the gaps, so there is a quiz every Tuesday!

Mazarrón FC     All the stats and reports for the last season can be accessed from here. Mazarrón will play their football in the Territorial Preferente next season, after relegation from the Tercera. The coming season should prove to be exciting as the club reinvents itself as a primarily local-based operation. Season tickets are now available (only 40euros) to members of Los Amigos. Please email me for further information. There was a friendly against Cartagena B at the Mazarron ground on Thursday which Mazarron lost 0-1. There is another just after the season starts at the ground in Mazarrón when the team will play Sierra Espuňa FC, a team of British ex pats. on Sept 8th, at 2030, followed by a free BBQ! League fixtures start with a home match on Sept 5th. There is now a complete list of fixtures here.

Segura water reserves stand at 59.0%, (31.08.10), down 0.1%  in the last 2 weeks (TVE text). The level for the whole of Spain is 70.1%. (down 2.8%)

The opening of the AP7 reduces the time from San Javier Airport to less than 45mins and reduces the time from Almeria Airport to about 1hr 20mins. Flights into Almeria Airport are much cheaper than others and could be considered in future plans. I have updated the instructions from San Javier Airport (22.06.08)

The new RM3, the Mazarrón - Totana motorway is now open, and so is the RM2 from Alhama to the A30. This gives a viable non-toll alternative to east Cartagena and San Javier. Now that the RM23 is also open, it takes about 10mins longer than using the AP7 and paying the toll. I have updated the travel directions page accordingly.
